Preserve Ambassadors

Our Preserve Ambassadors walk our trails and report back any issues that might impact a visitor’s safety or enjoyment on a preserve, such as:

  • Downed trees or other trail impediments
  • Compliance with pet rules
  • Brochures and/or maps at trailhead kiosks
  • Muddy conditions

They are also responsible for picking up any trash and replenishing trailhead resources, including maps, brochures, and dog poop bags. These resources will be provided by York Land Trust.

This volunteer position requires walking the trail system of your preserve of choice once or twice per month. If you’re interested in becoming a Preserve Ambassador, please fill out the Volunteer Form!

Preserve Ambassadors: After you walk our trails, please complete the Preserve Ambassador Reporting form. Thank you!
