YLT Stewardship Director Liz Walworth will be leading a small group walk for York Land Trust Members of the Davisson Property. This area boasts prominent rocky outcroppings, views of the upper reaches of the Cape Neddick River, and a beautiful statue of a female figure carved into native stone. The artist, Henry Davisson, named the statue “Oestre/Easter” after the Anglo-Saxon goddess of springtime. Read more here:
Terrain on the walk may be slippery, uneven, or slope steeply as there are no established trails on the property, however, a path has been cleared and no large obstacles will be encountered on the access path. The hike will be relatively short (.8 miles total) and will pause frequently to discuss features of the property.
Due to limited parking at the site, participants will meet at the YLT Headquarters parking area at noon and be brought to and from the site in a van.
This program is open to members of York Land Trust and space is limited. Sign up here.
