Garden Series: Native Pollinator Workshop

Join special guest Michelle Hunt, a biologist formerly with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as she explores our region’s native pollinators and discusses methods for supporting them through gardening with native flora. In this workshop, she will discuss some of the challenges monarch butterfly populations have faced recently and demonstrate how you can support native pollinators by creating important habitat in your own backyard.

Whether you’re aiming to establish a pollinator plot or simply enhance your garden with a few plants, there are techniques adaptable to gardens of any size that can bolster our local pollinator populations. This workshop is free and open to the public with registration. Includes a presentation then a guided walk through to see the native species, and a make-your-own pollinator pot workshop! This event is free and open to the public with registration. Sign up here.
