**New Date!**
Join us at the York Land Trust Headquarters for an interactive talk on the practice and wellness benefits of Shinrin Yoku, or Forest Bathing, given by Certified Forest Therapy Guide Nev Hoffman of Blue Fern Forest Bathing. Together, we’ll engage all of our senses and explore the history, science, and art of this nature-based mindfulness practice and how it is inter-connected with the land here in Maine. Light woodland inspired refreshments and tea served for in person attendees.
This informative and interactive talk will kick off our Forest Bathing Series, which Nev will lead. Stay tuned for future dates of Forest Bathing Sessions at York Land Trust Public Preserves.
This is a hybrid in person program with a zoom option. This program is free and open to the public. Registration is required. Register here.
Get to know your presenter: Nev Hoffman, despite having spent her entire life in the mountains of New Mexico, Colorado & New England, after just a few guided Forest Bathing sessions felt as if she was experiencing nature for the very first time again. In 2023, after a series transformative life events during the global pandemic, Nev decided to launch Blue Fern Forest Bathing: Where the Forest Meets The Water and became Certified Forest Bathing Guide. She has called Kittery Point, Maine her home for 20 years and hopes to someday soon share tea in the forest with you.
