Guided Hikes at Highland Farm Preserve

January 25, 2017

We had a great group join us for our annual Winter Wildlife Tracking at Highland Farm Preserve this past Saturday, January 21st! We spent the morning exploring the trails with expert naturalists from White Pine Programs, who helped us find evidence of wildlife in the snow and in the trees. Some highlights include porcupine and squirrel tracks, buck rubs, and bird’s nests made of different materials from the preserve. Thanks to our friends at White Pine Programs for leading the program, and to the members of the community who joined us!

The next guided nature walk at Highland Farm Preserve is our annual Vernal Pool Walk, coming up on Saturday, April 22nd. White Pine Programs will join us for that event as well. Stay tuned for more details!
